Classes include all supplies, materials & hands-on instruction by 2+ instructors.

> Min 4/Max 8-10 for optimal small-group instruction. 
Payment for each camp is due at registration.

*It's best if students learn on their own machines, but if needed we have extra machines to share. We are happy to store your sewing machine here throughout the class to make it easier!

Beginner Sewing

Tuesday afternoons • Jan 23 - Feb 27 • 4:15-5:15p • Ages 7-14 • $210 • 6 weeks • ALL supplies included

This level is great for those who have never sewn before or have had some basic experience.

Students learn basic machine sewing and finishing techniques. We will make unique "stitch” journals to get comfy with your machines using various stitches. Then we move onto pillows that you design and other simple, fun and creative projects! Everyone will practice machine techniques and ironing (only if they're up for it), cutting, pinning, hand-stitching and making pockets. No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and have fun! For those who've taken a beginner class and want to learn more before moving onto Intermediate, see our Beginner II class below.

Beginner II Advanced Sewing

Saturday mornings • Jan 20 - Feb 24 • 10-11a • Ages 7-14 • $210• 6 weeks• ALL supplies included

This level is great for those with beginner sewing experience who want to keep practicing their skills and move on to more involved projects.

A continuation of our Beginner class, students will learn more finishing techniques to create bags and other fun items. We will design fabrics, use embellishments (buttons, found objects, beads, etc.) and set eyelets! Each student will try their hand at ironing, cutting, piecing, sewing seams, using guides and creative stitching to create their own one-of-a-kind items. Students in this class will have a little more independent time for "playing" with their machines and different materials and projects.

Intermediate III Sewing  

Friday afternoons • Jan 26 - Mar 2 • 4:15-5:15p • Ages 8-14 • $210
6 weeks• ALL supplies included

A continuation of our Intermediate Class, this class is for those comfortable with machine sewing who want to work on more advanced projects. 

Push your skills to the next level! In this class, we will focus on more detailed construction techniques while making some cool stuff. Students will learn about using design elements, mixed materials, sizing and various sewing techniques. You will have plenty of guidance at every step.

Beginner Sewing for Adults 

SIP & SEW
Tuesday evenings • Jan 23 - Feb 27 • 
7-8:30p • Adult • $210• 6 weeks • ALL supplies included
*BYOB optional -- bring anything from water and juice to wine and cocktails!*

Thursday mornings • Jan 25 - Mar 1 • 10-11:30a • Adult • $210• 6 weeks• ALL supplies included

This level is great for those who have never sewn before or have some basic experience.

For all you grownups out there who want to learn to sew or refresh your sewing skills in a positive, fun, stress-free and creative environment – and turn that Home-Ec experience into something positive – this class is for you!

You will learn machine basics, get comfy using different stitches and guides to sew straight lines, and play with materials to create simple projects that will provide a nice foundation and build your confidence so you can use these basic techniques on your own for any project. Projects may include pillow covers, bags, table linens, piecing and upcycling. No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn, have fun & make things!

Class Cancellation Policy:

We know that if you or your child signs up for our classes, you're excited to be here! But we also know life can get in the way and unplanned things do happen. We want you to know that we value our commitment to our students. For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class/camp, you must notify us 7 days in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit toward another class/camp. If you notify us within 72 hours or less in advance of the scheduled class time, you will receive up to 50% credit towards another class/camp. If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place. In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change.

If your child misses a day of class/camp and you provide notification ahead of scheduled class, we will try to reschedule or you will receive 50% of class day credit towards another class/camp. No refunds or credits will be issued if we are not notified in advance. If for any reason we need to cancel or reschedule a class, you will be given the option of attending the rescheduled class, credit for another class, or a full refund.
